Funk for Freedom Fundraiser a Success!

Whitman's Freedom Team hosted a lively event on January 17th, a fundraiser that featured the music of Ken Kalen's The Funkin' Donuts band, raffles, and a live auction. Over 100 members and friends of the Whitman community came together to support the Freedom Team's purpose of promoting love, inclusion, and trust while they enjoyed a generous buffet and beverages supplied by the Whitman Knights of Columbus. A highlight of the evening was the live auction of private airplane rides, Red Sox tickets, and the chance to have the Funkin' Donuts play at a private party. All proceeds of the event will be spent supporting community needs such as scholarships, anti-bullying school programming, and assisting the Council on Aging.
